TCU is the first Texas team to reach the college football playoffs.
Fans are no doubt excited to see the game in person. However, Southwest Airlines’ cancellation has put some plans in jeopardy, as flight cancellations have forced fans to look for other ways to get to Phoenix.

Alexander and husband Scott’s third wedding anniversary also falls on the 31st, and normally the couple would take a trip to the beach, but their plans changed after learning that TCU was playing that day.

Other TCU fans like Tracy Raesz had to change their trip.
“We received a text yesterday at 3:30 a.m. that our flight was cancelled,” said Raesz, who had to book an American Airlines flight through DFW airport on Thursday morning. .
“Now I have to take extra paid leave because I can’t work at all tomorrow,” Raesz added.
Former TCU football player David Bobo shared his journey on Twitter. His flight to the Southwest has been canceled, so his family rented a car and is now on a road trip to Phoenix.
Southwest told CBS 11 they are aware of the big playoff games this weekend and are working to bring fans to those destinations.
“Southwest, take us there!” said Alexander.
