Funviralpark Watertown, NY (WWNY) – Jefferson County has declared a state of emergency and a travel ban is in place until further notice.
Warming shelters are located at Adams Fire Station, Henderson Fire Station, Sacketts Harbor Fire Station, Chaumont Fire Station, Cape Vincent Fire Station, and Arctic Fire Station.
Emergency officials said there are between 75 and 100 disabled or abandoned vehicles on county roads.

It had been raining heavily all morning, but at about 11:30 am, 7 News reporter Chad Sharett was in Thompson Park watching the white walls crisscross the city.

“I have to work until nine tonight. Hopefully I can go home,” said retail worker Brenda Golding.
