Delays, cancelations hamper travel at S.A. airport on Christmas Day

A sunny but chilly Christmas day in South Central Texas did not prevent a travel nightmare for passengers entering and leaving San Antonio International Airport.
As of 4:30 p.m., 32 flights were canceled and 76 were delayed, according to flight tracking website FlightAware.


Southwest Airines passengers were most affected with 51 flight delays and 20 flight cancellations.
Passengers on two flights – Delta, Sprint and Frontier – each had to find alternative flights to their destinations, while six United Airlines flights were cancelled.
One Delta flight for Monday has already been cancelled.
According to FlightAware, 3,886 flights have been canceled across the country and another 13,274 flights have been delayed.
