Traffic congestion is expected on Interstate 15 from Las Vegas to Primm Friday from noon to 4 p.m., according to the Southern Nevada Regional Transportation Commission.
That changes on Monday, when Christmas weekend is expected to be the busiest. RTC recommends that travelers avoid Primm on I-15 Southbound between 10am and 7pm.
RTC expects the I-15 Southbound between Las Vegas and Primm on December 30 to experience higher than normal traffic around New Year’s Eve and less traffic on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
In order to return to Southern California on January 2nd, RTC has instructed us not to travel southbound on Interstate 15 near the state line from 8am to 7pm.
Higher-than-normal traffic is expected from the border to I-15 Southbound from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Jan. 3, and less traffic is expected along the Jan. 4 stretch. expected.
For public transport, RTC buses run on Saturdays from December 24-26 and December 31-January. 2.
