AUCKLAND — A train control problem in the East Bay caused BART to go single-track for about an hour between Coliseum and Bay Fair stations on Friday morning, causing system-wide delays.

BART originally reported the problem around 8:00 am and said that an equipment problem on the line between Bay Fair and San Leandro caused a 20-minute delay in all directions on the Berryessa line. A short time later, the transit service started a single-track train between Coliseum and Bay Fair stations.

The issue was resolved before 9am and single tracking was cancelled.

Early Friday morning, BART officials reported that wet weather could cause delays across the system.

BART reports that delays of up to 10 minutes can occur. Authorities are asking riders to watch their step on wet platforms and stairs.

Service advisory for wet conditions first sent before 5am
