Portland area ice storm closures, cancellations, service disruptions Friday

Sleet and freezing rain are creating dangerous driving conditions on local roads. These institutions and services either closed on Friday or canceled events. Please revisit this post as soon as you receive updates.

Portland Public Schools: All athletics are canceled.

WSU Vancouver: Closed until December 24th (Sat).

Clark College in Vancouver: Closed until December 24th (Sat).

Vancouver School District: All practices, contests and activities have been cancelled.

Gresham-Barlow School District: All extracurricular activities and practices are cancelled. All buildings are closed.

Molalla River School District: All campuses have been closed. All athletics and activities have been cancelled.

Trimet: Major service adjustments on Friday. All buses are chained and can only go 25 mph. As of 9:30 am, TriMet has suspended all MAX light rail services on all routes. See www.trimet.org/alerts for specific schedules.

Portland Streetcars: Service has been canceled.

C-tran: The vine is served by a 40 foot bus. State Highway 190 is out of service and some routes may run on snowy roads or miss certain stops. For more information, visit c-tran.com.

Portland International Airport: Flight delays and cancellations continue until morning. Check with your airline before heading to the airport. www.ifly.com

Ride to Care: All non-urgent travel will be canceled until Saturday, December 24th. For more information: 503-416-3955 or 855-321-4899.

Some state offices and DMVs are closed ahead of Friday’s storm. Check the list here: oregon.gov/das/Pages/buildingclosure.aspx

Oregon Department of Defense: Closed but working remotely. The Oregon Department of Defense offices in Salem and Portland will be closed on Friday.

Oregon Office: The Portland Metro and Salem Metro state offices are closed.

Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office: Closed but working remotely.

Clackamas County Circuit Court: Closed.

Washington County: Most county buildings will be closed for the day, including the Washington County Circuit Courthouse.

Clark County: Our offices will be closed, but some court proceedings will continue. For more information, please visit our website: www.clark.wa.gov.

Marion County Office: Closed.

City of Hillsboro: The office may open later at a later announced time.

City of Milwaukee: Closed.

City of Beaverton: All city buildings will remain closed for in-person services through Friday, December 23rd. Essential and remote services will continue.

Oregon City Facilities: Closed.

City of Vancouver: Update: All offices are closed.

Sherwood City: Has been updated Closed.

Fort Vancouver Regional Library: All locations were closed.

Tigard Public Library: Closed.

Oregon Zoo: We are closed during the daytime. Officials expect to make a decision on ZooLights operations by 1:30 pm Friday.

Portland Art Museum: closed

Mittleman Jewish Community Center: Closed and Vacation Camp programs are cancelled.

North Clackamas Parks & Recreation District: All facilities closed.

Broadway Medical Clinic: Closed.

Portland Clinic: All clinics, including Urgent Care and Alberty Surgical Center, are not accepting in-person appointments.

Columbia River Mental Health Services: All sites were closed except Northstar and Crisis, which were open as usual.

Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center: All sites, including management offices, do not accept in-person visits and reservations. Your virtual booking will continue as scheduled.

Women’s Health Care Associates: Closed but working remotely. All clinics will be closed to in-person visits, but will continue to offer phone calls, advice and telemedicine visits.
