Panthers sign Josh Norman to practice squad with Jaycee Horn undergoing wrist surgery

After training cornerback Josh Norman on Monday, the Panthers signed him to the practice team. The team announced the move in Norman’s video.

The Panthers needed help in the starting position for cornerback Jaycee Horn, who is scheduled to undergo surgery on Tuesday for a broken wrist. Panthers coach Steve Wilkes has ruled out Horn’s return this season. No, the team has not ruled out Horn on Sunday.

Wilkes said Norman won’t start on Sunday and Keith Taylor will take the job opposite CJ Henderson, but Norman is expected to take on the role.

Norman, who played for the Panthers from 2012 to 2015, started 14 games for the 49ers last season but hasn’t played since.
