A search for a missing Texas A&M student ends tragically on Christmas Eve when his family says he’s about to graduate.

Amber Alert Network Brazos Valley reported on its social media pages Saturday night that 22-year-old Tanner Hoang was found dead in Austin, not far from where his car was found Thursday. I posted the latest information.

“Certainly not the outcome many were hoping for. Please continue to pray for the Tanner family during this difficult time,” the agency wrote.

Huang was considered missing by his family on December 16 after he hung up the phone around 8:00 a.m. and went missing. Amber Alert Network Brazos Valley issued an alert to college students on December 18th.

Authorities reported he was last seen on the 900 block of Colgate Drive in College Station around 11 a.m. He was also reportedly petroled around noon in Caldwell, Texas.

According to Fox 26 Houston, Juan’s family said he was on his way to College Station to attend a graduation ceremony the weekend he went missing. But we never met.

Texas A&M University said Huang was ineligible to graduate, according to Fox 26.

Juan’s car was found unattended in a West Austin parking lot on December 22nd.

Hours before his death was announced, volunteers and search parties were called off and asked to return home, according to local media.

As of Sunday morning, the cause of death has not been disclosed.
