The New York Jets have a quarterback problem. He was on the bench for the second time in a month in New York’s embarrassing 19-3 loss to the Jaguars. I’ve seen

Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer, the Jets are expected to move from Wilson this offseason. It’s no secret that young quarterbacks struggle with confidence, and Glazer is now reporting that the Jets have lost all faith in Wilson.

Wilson has started the last two games due to Mike White’s rib injury, but Chris Streveler is the third quarterback on the Jets’ roster, and it looks like Wilson has spoken volumes to the franchise.

Wilson completed 54.5% of his passes this season and threw six touchdowns for seven interceptions in nine games. Going into Week 16, he had the lowest completion percentage and highest off-target percentage of his 33 qualifying quarterbacks this season. Wilson has struggled with simple throws, bad interceptions, and has seen his enthusiastic Jets fanbase turn against him.

It will be interesting to see how the Jets handle this situation. Wilson was selected second overall less than two years before him. It’s hard to imagine them releasing him. The front office may be able to find a trading partner, but whatever compensation the Jets receive in exchange for Wilson, the investment will still be a big, big loss.
