Bad weather wasn’t the only thing that hit 20 degrees Celsius and gusty winds at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte Saturday as the Carolina Panthers beat the Detroit Lions 37-23.
“I thought the field conditions were below NFL-level standards,” Lions quarterback Jared Goff said.
“I don’t know what the deal is here, but we need to figure out a way to keep the lawn from feeling like cement.”
Panthers players have also complained about artificial turf at their home stadium this season.

Goff, who said it was the coldest home game in Bank of America Stadium history, said of the field: However, before the game, I was not in a condition to play. I am happy that our players finished the match relatively injury-free. “
