After Denver’s pathetic performance against the Rams at Christmas, the Broncos head coach said: I was upset.
In a season full of lows, this game was by far the lowest. The Broncos got into a bizarre fight on the sidelines and edge rusher Randy Gregory got into a brawl after the game.
“Everybody’s frustrated. It was a bad game. Shameful game. I know everyone’s frustrated because it’s the first time something like this has happened,” said Hackett. “We can’t show our frustration. We have to vent our frustration on the field the right way.”
The Broncos currently have a 4-11 record for the season. Hackett’s fate seems all but decided, and he could lose his job as early as tomorrow morning. Hackett said the Denver meltdown was a product of how this disastrous season played out.
“I think they’re upset about all the defeats. We all. Each one of us, that’s unacceptable. That’s not what we’re going for. That’s not what we want to do.” entered with the idea that he could win this game, but in the end he was unprepared.
The Broncos were completely unprepared. Russell Wilson hit his two early interceptions and Denver were down 17-0 on him and no one could blink. From there things got worse and emotions boiled over.
Nothing more to say, but this was a completely miserable Christmas in California.
