Russell Wilson wasn’t the only Broncos quarterback to spend Christmas roughly.

Backup Brett Ripien got caught in a strange sideline spat with Denver’s offensive line as the team headed for a disgraceful 51-14 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

Wilson was dismissed for back-to-back plays to end the drive with the teams tied 34–6 in the third quarter. Ripien went to say something to the offensive line when guard Dalton Lisner pushed him. CBS sideline his reporter Tracy Wolfson was the first to report the incident.

“The tension is running high, Jim[Nantz]these Broncos on the sidelines,” Wolfson said. • Defended Wilson and exchanged words on behalf of them and Dalton Lisner, in the middle of which Risner actually pushed Rypien.

“And Cam Sutton was up and down the sidelines, trying to calm everyone down. But there’s certainly a lot of frustration on the sidelines here at the Broncos.”

Ripien was set to replace Wilson, who wrote the latest chapter on his brutal first season with the Broncos. He finished the game completing 15 of 27 passes for 214 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions.

The Broncos-Seahawks trade this offseason, which sent a hefty package of wanted men and players to Seattle, looks like an unmitigated disaster. A team-wide dysfunction led to the firing of first-year head coach Nathaniel Hackett on Monday.

“A lot needs to happen,” Wilson said after the game. According to KUSA. “No. 1. I have to play by the standards of play I know. And I’ve played my whole career. Moments like tonight never define me.” No. We’re in the worst of times right now I know every time I come out on the other side I’m not afraid of low moments All I know is keep fighting All you have to do is keep fighting.

“The reality was a storm. A storm all year round. , as I said, it starts with me.”

The 4-11 Broncos will close out the season with AFC West matches against the Chiefs and Chargers. They would then have a number of decisions to make about their future, starting with who would replace Hackett as the team’s head coach.
