Bears quarterback Justin Fields revealed after the game that he had aggravated an unthrowable shoulder he injured Saturday against the Bills. He added that he couldn’t, but expects to be “ready to go” by Week 17.

Bears coach Matt Everfuls was asked if Fields’ injury would keep him out of the game against the Lions.

“Absolutely not,” Eberflus said Monday, via ESPN’s Courtney Cronin.

Fields originally injured his left shoulder in Week 11, and the quarterback said the team’s medical staff told him it would be a “nagging injury all year long.”

“He’s fine,” said Everflus. “He’s healthy. He’s ready to go this week.”

The Bears are out of playoff contention after 13 weeks and have lost eight straight. But Everflus said he thinks Fields will be worth playing his last two games.

“Because we have to improve,” said Eberflus. “We want to improve. We want to see where we are. These last two games are important. Look, it’s very important to see the players play the division, I think it’s important for each person, it’s important for each unit, and it’s important for our football team as a whole. .”
