Several restaurants and fire companies are selling meals this year.
Of course, you can also cook pork and sauerkraut at home. But if you want to purchase a meal, you’ll have to go to several locations in the Harrisburg area.
Campbelltown Volunteer Fire Company2818 Horseshoe Pike, Palmyra
Firefighters will host a dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. featuring pork and sauerkraut, hot dogs, mashed potatoes, green beans, apple sauce, bread, and dessert. Admission is $12 for adults, $6 for children ages 6-12, and free for children 5 and under. Takeout is possible.
Chambers Hill Fire Company, 6400 Chambers Hill Road, Swatara Township
The Swatala Township fire company is holding an annual ‘all you can eat’ pork and sauerkraut dinner fundraiser. It will be held at the Fire Station from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Dinner includes pork, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, green beans, applesauce, beverages, and dessert. You can eat in or take out.
Fees are $11 for adults and $5 for children 6 and under. All proceeds go to this volunteer fire brigade.

Diner offers pork and sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, soup or salad. The price is $13.95.
Mount Holy Church of God602 McLand Drive, Mount Holly
The church offers pork and sauerkraut meals for eat-in and take-out from noon to 2pm. Donation only.
St. Matthew Lutheran Church30 W. Chestnut St., Hanover
The church hosts a New Year’s Day pork and sauerkraut dinner from 11:15 am to 1:00 pm or until food runs out. The dinner benefits the church’s Guatemalan mission team. The menu includes roast him pork, sauerkraut, corn, mashed potatoes, hot dogs, and desserts. Eat-in or take-out. We welcome free donations.
Tree of Life Lutheran Church1492 Linglestown Road, Lower Paxton Township
Pork, sauerkraut, potatoes and more will be donated free of charge between 11am and 2:30pm.

Dinner is served from 11am to 4pm and includes pork, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, applesauce, rolls, dessert, and beverages. You can eat and drink in the store and take out.
Admission is $10 for adults, $6 for children ages 5-12, and free for children 5 and under.
A limited number of dishes will be prepared. You can book a meal and leave a message by calling the church at 717-252-2609. No phone on Sunday morning.
