1. Yolk omelet
The Eater’s (NY) editor-in-chief knew just one super-simple food trend for 2022, and it blew her mind. She couldn’t believe there were actually people who strictly ordered a yolk omelet. First of all, what’s wrong or bad about it? Second, she didn’t even know it was her top food trend for 2022. Everyone, please bring me the yolks!
2. Adult bakery
This is also something I didn’t realize was super “trendy” in 2022. I mean, I think some people have the opportunity to eat adult baked goods, but really, what’s the point? There is a place in NY specifically called Kinky’s out whose content is always flagged. If you can’t show your work, that’s a problem.
3. Return of the Great Food Hall
Contributors to H***Gate and Brookyln Magazine said they didn’t think the pandemic would bring back such things. This was very surprising to me. So Here for the past year. Apparently, the pineapple and passionfruit flavors were his all-time high in 2022.
