Chat GPT, an artificial intelligence chatbot, is making headlines for its features. Users were able to build websites, tell stories, and create nutrition plans.
I had fun playing with it, so I sent the OpenAI project some basic questions: Where is the best steakhouse in Houston? Where can I find the best crayfish?
Top 100 Restaurants: Houston’s dining scene is exceptional. This list has the best our city has to offer.
“Personal steak tastes vary widely, so it’s difficult to recommend a specific restaurant as the best place in Houston for steak,” he replied in part each time.
Still, I answered each question with a popular option, some of which were good for the money.
Tex-Mex
“Popular options in Houston include Pico’s Mex-Mex, The Original Ninfa’s on Navigation, El Real Tex-Mex Cafe…”
Pico’s and Ninfa’s are a few staff favorites, but El Real is interesting considering it’s been closed for about three years. There are other “El Real” Mexican restaurants in the Houston area, but none are probably affiliated with the old Wesheimer’s outlet.
barbecue
“Popular options in Houston include Killen’s Barbecue, Corkscrew BBQ and The Pit Room.”
All of these could be on your list of top BBQ places in the Houston area.
steak house
“Popular options in Houston include Pappas Brothers Steakhouse, Mastro’s Steakhouse, and Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse.”
It’s interesting that the three choices are under Houston’s largest restaurant family, The Pappas and Fertittas. Mastro’s was recently placed on the list of top performing restaurants and bars based on alcohol sales.
tamales
“Popular options in Houston include The Tamale Company, Tamales Dona Tere and Lone Star Tamale Factory.”
The Tamale Company recently made a list of the top 20 tamales in Houston. Dona Tere made the news last year when it reported that Eater would be “Saved By The Bell’s” Mario Lopez’s ghost in her kitchen.
