Baker and San Antonio resident Mace Del Angel have always considered themselves artists. Born in her City of Mexico and raised in Monterrey, Del Angel spent most of her life in marketing and even ran her own restaurant, but her artistic side I kept calling her back.
“I’ve been painting my whole life,” Del Angel, 53, told MySA in a recent interview. “I do it whenever I have time. I like to express myself through painting. I once did face painting for a child’s birthday party.”
Del Angel moved to San Antonio in 2016. By this time, she had started watching many of her reality show competitions baking on her Food Network. Many of the series gave contestants the opportunity to use their artistic abilities to create works of culinary art.

“If I had my own bakery, I would have to go there every day,” said Del Angel. “But I like going to these shows and competing, so I think this is the best one for me. increase.”
