The Austin Police Department is seeking help from the public to find a man they say stole a food truck trailer and a pickup truck in North Austin earlier this month.

The APD said the theft occurred in the early hours of Dec. 11 at Block 9900 on Research Boulevard.

Police said the food truck trailer was found by APD detectives during an investigation. A stolen Dodge Ram 3500 Dual Heavy Duty Pickup used to steal the trailer was also recovered.

Around the time of the food truck theft, surveillance video captured a suspect breaking into a convenience store, shoplifting several items and leaving them in the stolen pickup truck.

The suspect is described as a black man over six feet tall, thin and bald. The man was last seen wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and black shoes.
