CINCINNATI (WXIX) – A ‘bomb cyclone’ hit the Cincinnati area Thursday night, continuing to affect dangerous turn roads that could freeze quickly.

As a reminder of how bad road conditions can be in some parts of the tri-state, food delivery drivers are taking the opportunity to let customers know how dangerous it is outside in a Reddit thread.

“Remember: If it’s too dangerous to drive to pick up your food, it’s also dangerous for your delivery driver,” the original post read. “Don’t be like that”

Throughout the thread, local delivery drivers began commenting on their experiences working in winter weather, both good and bad.

“I used to deliver pizzas in college and people routinely threw $50,” a former delivery man from Covington posted. I love to drive, I remember making $500 for about five hours a year.”

On the other hand, some drivers appreciated the reminder.

“As a pizza delivery driver who just finished his shift, thank you,” said one. “Fortunately we closed tonight at 10pm instead of 11pm. Things went downhill quickly after 8pm. In fact, I fell while it was raining. But that’s normal, usually tip less after 8pm as the working class settles down for the night, after 8pm the streets get tough but $5 for delivery drivers Not enough to pay.”

Whether or not the driver disagreed with the post, they were able to agree on one thing.
