Bar Harbor Bank & Trust contributes $7,500 to address food insecurity in Hancock County
Bar Harbor Bank & According to a press release, the trust has awarded $7,500 to five food pantries working to address food shortages in Hancock County. The bank recently gave $1,500 each to Bar Harbor Food Pantry, Emmaus Homeless Shelter, and Robes. & Fish Food Pantry, Tree of Life Food Pantry, Westside Food Pantry.
Last month, the bank pledged to donate up to $1,500 to the Food Pantry between November 17th and December 2nd. Each food pantry met its fundraising goal of securing full matching funds from the bank.
“Unfortunately, food insecurity is all too real for many families and individuals in Hancock County and we support the food pantries that work tirelessly to ensure that no one in our community goes hungry. We feel it’s important,” said Vice President Jack Frost.of community giving at Bar Harbor Bank & trust.
