This week’s Kansas City Chiefs game was a nice Christmas present for Chiefs fans. They took an early lead and there was no doubt about the game. The defense stopped the inferior offense and held it down to 10 points. The Chiefs’ offense wasn’t great, but it was enough to keep this one comfortably on the winning line and got away with no major injuries.
At this point in the season, it’s been a pretty good day in the office. Here are some of the players who stood out in Saturday’s 24-10 win over the Seattle Seahawks:

winner
Tight end Travis Kelce: Almost every week. Every season, Kelce has garnered over 100 receiving yards. Most of them came on one drive in the 4th quarter when the Chiefs essentially put the game out of reach on a touchdown drive against Seattle. Sure, Kelce had one early catch left on the field and he seemed to blame himself, but that was quickly forgotten as Kelse led all receivers in this game .
Wide receiver Kadarius Toney: The stats weren’t spectacular, but Tony’s presence was felt on the field this week. The run and abruptness of the route was evidence of a player who can be a big factor all at once. . That’s the element the Chiefs lacked.
Defensive tackle Chris Jones: After a quiet Week 15, Jones was once again the best defensive player on the field. He was largely unblocked on his hits by his four quarterbacks on the day and went big again in clutch situations. Seattle had the ball late in the fourth quarter, and Jones sent everyone home with his 11th sack of the season.
Linebacker Nick Bolton: Bolton was stripped of the Pro Bowl this week, and some thought it would lead him to play a little better this week. That may have been the case, as the Chiefs’ linebacker was everywhere on Saturday, recording a total of 17 tackles, and it was Bolton’s open field and his tackle that stopped Seattle’s first drive. , he did not stop there. Bolton also nearly picked a hit pass during a drive that ended in the Seahawks’ only touchdown. When he attacks and closes out, this defending unit can successfully move away from the field.
EDGE George Karrafutis: The rookie added to his NFL-leading butted pass total when he helped shut down the Seahawks on fourth down of the first half. Then he sacked Geno Smith to end another drive. It will be rookie season.
loser
Wide receiver Justin Watson: The Chiefs’ passing game was a little out of sync today, but many of us have noticed time and time again that the problem seems to be at least partially related to Watson. Watson said he failed to catch any of his four targets. not idealEach of his imperfections was in drives that ended in punts or turnovers on downs. Watson has been a valuable depth player this season, but on this day he was a passer for the Chiefs.
Cornerback Joshua Williams: Williams has had errors on each of Seattle’s scoring drives this week. At the end of the first half, Williams received two penalties instead of one extending the drive. His holding call nullified Mike Dana’s sack on third down, and his pass interference put him within field goal range. He then gave up his pass on his fourth down to Treadwell, setting up the Seahawks’ only touchdown.this is definitely moment to teach For rookies so far Solid but not spectacular with coverage. If he corrects his mistake, it will lead to a big finish and expensive penalties, and he has a bright future ahead of him.
