The Detroit Lions and quarterback Jared Goff lost to the Carolina Panthers on Saturday, keeping the NFC South Team in the race for the division title and hindering the NFC North Team’s playoff push.
For Goff, the Lions’ 37-23 loss to the Panthers was an insult. The veteran quarterback didn’t like his conditions on the field at Bank of America Stadium.

“I thought the field conditions were below NFL-level standards, especially before the game,” Goff told reporters after the game through the team’s website. We need to find a way to make the lawn feel less like cement.”
Goff went 25 of 42 for 355 passing yards and three touchdown passing. However, he was sacked on his two occasions, and the Panthers scored his QB hits on his seventh.
Field conditions in NFL stadiums are a hot topic. Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium isn’t the only field that has been criticized for how tough the field is. Blamed for multiple knee injuries, including suffering from a torn ACL. The German Allianz He Arena was also hit by flak.
49ers’ George Kittle helps Nick Bosa win
San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle sought surface continuity on every NFL field after facing the Panthers at Bank of America Stadium in October.
“The thing that confuses me is, if you’re not going to make turf mandatory, why are we used to playing on the same turf everywhere because the grass fields aren’t exactly the same turf? But, Every field has a different turf, Kittle told NBC Sports Bay Area.

“The NBA guys don’t play different woods, what are we doing? The hockey guys don’t always play different ice. It’s the ice. I wanted to play on the surface… so your body doesn’t just deal with another piece of shitty turf.”
