A judge on Saturday ruled that Kari Lake has not been deprived of her right to become Arizona’s next governor.
“This Court acknowledges the anger and frustration of voters who were subjected to inconvenience and confusion at Vote Centers due to technical issues during the 2022 General Election,” Maricopa County Superior Court Peter Thompson Judge The official wrote, “But the duty of this court is not only to listen to public outcry. It is to expose plaintiffs’ claims and defendants’ actions to the light of the court and the scrutiny of the law.”
Naturally, Lake reacted to the loss by refusing to accept her trademark reality.
“My election lawsuit provided the world with evidence proving our election was outlawed,” she tweeted. “This judge did not rule in our favor. But in order to restore trust and integrity in our election, I will appeal his decision.”
In other words, to build hope for a political future, she demands that she keep her supporters in a constant state of rage.
Here in the real world, Judge Thompson bowed backwards and gave Lake a day in court.
In fact, Maricopa County election officials deliberately rigged the November 8th election so that a judge would give her every opportunity to prove that Lake had lost to gubernatorial candidate Katie Hobbs. It was two days given to me.
Instead, Lake offered opinions, speculation, and a fair amount of wishful thinking to convince the judge that the Republican candidate was the victim of a vicious conspiracy by Republican-run counties. Presented a parade.
But what is that old saying? Please don’t do that.
In his 10-page ruling, the judge watered down each witness’s testimony…
… from a partisan pollster who testified that his exit polls showed she should have won …. before admitting that was still counted.
“It is worth mentioning that election officials themselves were testified by both plaintiff and defendant witnesses to be conscientious and devoted to fulfilling their roles,” Thompson wrote. It’s not perfect, because there’s no perfect system on this planet, but it’s more than enough for law-abiding and valid elections.”
More than enough to comply with the law.
It’s Christmas this year. Kari, Arizona Her Lake seems like a good time to give.
After 46 days of blaming her defeat and defaming state election officials, Lake must accept the judge’s verdict and ask for reprieve to allow the election of governor.
I don’t think Lake wishes Hobbes well, but at least she was able to acknowledge what Arizona had said.
Oh I see. The odds are somewhere between zero and what the heck is in the eggnog you’re drinking.
Still a season of miracles.
Peace on Earth and goodwill to those who defeat us.
