- Bottomless Hangover Brunch at Hull & Oak | New Year’s Day, Sunday, January 1 – Hot Southern-inspired restaurant Hull & Oak, located in the newest downtown Laura Hotel, is kicking off 2023 with a hangover-curing brunch on New Year’s Day. - C. Chef at the Baldwin Hotel Sunday 15th January – The annual fundraising dinner Chefs for Paws is back to celebrate another year of saving lives. Guests can enjoy sit-down multi-course dinners from Houston’s top chefs and restaurants, including Alyssa Dole, Sasha Gourmand, Graham Laborde, Paul Quy and Tim Redding, with all proceeds going to Rescue Pets. - Yaga’s Chili Quest & Beer Fest at Galveston Island Strand | Saturday, January 21st The 14th Annual Chili Quest & Beer Fest returns to Galveston’s Historic Downtown Strand District. Get weighed in with a chili sample from the best cook-off team around, then stroll from 1pm to 4pm with over 70 beers and spirits. The Chilean tasting is $13.
