Rochester, NY – It's up again. Another stolen car, another chase. It started on a Sunday night near Remington Street. Rochester police were chasing his SUV, which was reported stolen during Storm's arm robbery at Irondequoit. Surveillance video obtained by News10NBC shows the SUV crashing into cars waiting at red lights on Clifford Avenue and Hudson Avenue. Both vehicles hit the pavement and the SUV hit a building at the corner and came to a halt. The male driver took off on foot and was chased by police before being caught.

The incident occurred in the immediate vicinity of a convenience store owned by Aurora Lopez. Her security cameras caught most of the action. "I'm not happy to see it, but watching it is like a witness that is sometimes better than the news. Just having it personally before anyone else." said Lopez. The sidewalk near her company is still littered with wrecked car parts. The building that was attacked is now vacant. “I know there are individuals who have bought it. Wow. It's a little more work for him," Lopez said. This is the latest in a string of auto thefts in our area. Last Monday, three teenagers were accused of stealing 10 of his cars from a repair shop. On Wednesday, two 15-year-old girls were charged with driving stolen cars and causing multiple car accidents. And on Friday, a 16-year-old girl was accused of driving a stolen vehicle and crashing into her unmanned RPD vehicle. “Now we have 15-year-olds driving cars. We have 13-year-olds, 14-year-olds driving cars. Beyond that, everyone else is at risk as well at this point." Two people in the stolen car were taken to hospital for pain.

The suspect, whose name has not been released by police, is being held at the Monroe County Jail and is expected to be arraigned as early as Tuesday.
