Unlocked Cars Targeted In Elmhurst

Elmhurst, Illinois – Elmhurst police received a report this week that an unlocked car had been robbed. Here is the information:

  • The suspect got into an unlocked car at about 4 a.m. Monday at the 900 block of South Fern Avenue and removed the garage door opener. Video showed the three suspects entering a garage where another car was. They eventually left the area in a gray Acura. there was nothing else.
  • Around 1 p.m. Tuesday, on the 300 block of South Cottage Hill Avenue, someone got into an unlocked car and stole some gear. The suspect's car was a gold Saturn.
  • Between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, someone got into an unlocked car and stole a wallet containing several credit cards, driver's license and cash. :20pm and he had his watch stolen at 12:35pm.
