A Milford man is charged after police say he took him to a local hospital after shooting three cars and threatening relatives on December 28.
Delaware police responded to a home in the area of Norac Drive and Surry Court at 6:38 p.m. after receiving a report that a man shot a gun, Sr. Cpl said. Delaware State Police Leonard Demalt.
When police learned E. Keith Hudson, 65, had left his home with a bag of firearms, he called relatives and said he was going to shoot someone, Demarto said. When Mr. Hudson was approached by two members of his family, Mr. Hudson pointed a gun at their car and threatened to shoot them, Demarte said. He then shot three of his cars driven by a 50-year-old woman, a 30-year-old woman and a 51-year-old woman, respectively, DeMalto said. Police said no one was shot and there were no injuries.
Officers and officers from the Milford Police Department arrived and took Hudson into custody without incident. A firearm was recovered and Hudson was found to be intoxicated, Demarte said. After Hudson was medically acquitted, he was transferred to the 7th Division and charged with possessing a firearm while serving a felony charge. He was charged with 3 felonies of aggravated threatening, 3 of first degree reckless endangerment, 3 of terrorism threatening and possession of a firearm. Under influence and criminal mischief.
Hudson was indicted by Peace Court Judge 3 and held at Sussex Correctional Facility for defaulting on a $94,100 cash bond.
