Nissan cars headed to Automobilista 2 soon

Three motorsport-derived Nissan cars head to Automobilista 2 in an upcoming update, including a podium finisher for the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
After a long wait, the Japanese automaker and Autombilista 2 developer Reiza Studios has agreed to release licensed Nissan content for PC simulation. Three new additions to Automobilista 2 make their way into decades of competition.

  • Nissan R390 GT1
  • Nissan GT-R GT3 2017
Introduced at the height of Group C sports car regulations, the R89C raced in 1989 with a staggering 950bhp. Sadly, it didn't have much success, mainly due to its unreliability.

The R390, on the other hand, was more reliable but probably lacked sheer speed. He was the only one to finish on the podium at the 1998 24 Hours of Le Mans, but it was another golden age for the sport. The developer is TWR in the UK and he actually shares the platform with the early 90's Jaguar XJ15.

Finally, the GT-R is another GT3 car on the platform, this one pre-facelift spec for 2017.

A specific release date for these cars is not yet known. A news post on the Reiza forums succinctly states: “Nissan will finally debut AMS2 with the next update.” Three downloadable content packs will be released by the end of December 2022: Historical Track Pack, Supercars Pack and Brazil Racing Legends Pack containing F1 classic cars.
