st. LOUIS (AP) — A St. Louis County woman has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder after locating her stolen car and killing two of her men outside a gas station.
Spanish Lake's Demesha Coleman, 35, was charged Thursday in the deaths of Darius Jackson, 19, and Joseph Farrar, 49. Another man was shot in the head during a shootout but survived.
According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, it was not immediately clear which of the three men was suspected of stealing Coleman's car.
Surveillance video showed Coleman walking into a Hyundai Tucson gas station with a man, also armed, police detectives said. Police have not released the man's name.
The video shows Coleman opening a car door with his gun raised, and a man opening another door and raising his gun.
Coleman opened fire, causing a shootout, police said.
Police said she went to a gas station to retrieve the stolen car, she told detectives in a recorded interview.
Coleman, who has no criminal record, is charged with two counts of murder, one count of assault and three counts of armed crimes. Coleman's attorney's name is not in the online court records.
