Former Pa. rental manager arrested after fraudulently renting out cars for cash, heroin

A former rental car manager has been arrested on suspicion of committing a fraudulent practice in Pennsylvania by renting out a rental car for cash and heroin, according to reports.

Jackie Neubauer, 40, from Monroeville, was found renting vehicles to people using a fake name and address, a fake driver's license and a fake credit card number, police said. Later, I was laid off as Regional Manager of 4 locations of AVIS Car Rentals. WPXI reported.

In return, Neubauer received money and heroin, according to court documents.

Monroeville Police also confirmed that 15 vehicles were fraudulently rented between October and December. An additional 30 vehicles are estimated to have been stolen.

Authorities are also investigating 92 fraudulent rental agreements, resulting in an estimated 617,000 losses, according to WPXI.

Neubauer is said to rent the car for $1,000 a month. Her work was unprofitable when she returned her car.

She is charged with conspiracy, forgery, possession with intent to deliver, falsification of records, illegal computer use, and theft. A preliminary hearing will be held on January 9.
