Barricaded man sparks lockdown at Orlando VA after crashing stolen semi into cars – WFTV

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A man who barricaded himself inside a stolen semi truck sparked a police standoff at the Orlando Veterans Medical Center, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

An agent said a man in a stolen rig without a trailer drove into Orange County Monday night after colliding with several cars in Lake County.

The driver was chased by a police helicopter until he parked at the entrance of the Orlando VA Medical Center on Lake Nona.

Officials said the driver barricaded himself inside the cicada for several hours before being safely secured around midnight.

Law enforcement agencies have not released any other details.
