2 arrested after being found in car full of drugs, APD bodycam video shows

Two people have been charged after police found a large amount of drugs in the car. Atlanta police officers say they pulled over a Dodge Challenger on Dec. 17 for a minor traffic violation because the car smelled of marijuana. I asked him to confirm that there was not a large amount of marijuana in the vehicle. Eventually, officers pull Freeman out of the car and handcuff him. While searching for Freeman, officers found two loaded guns in an area where Freeman was reaching his hand while in the car. Officers found 2.4 pounds of methamphetamine, over a pound of marijuana, and 23 oxycodone tablets in the car. Trending story: While searching the passenger, later identified as 33-year-old Chanele Lamb, officers found 89 MDMA pills. Freeman was determined to be a convicted felon and was arrested on several drug and gun charges, as well as obstruction. He is currently being held at the Fulton County Jail.
