Taking to his Instagram some time ago, Ayan Mukerji announced the release of Brahmastra’s 4K trailer. captioned his post, “OUR TRAILER IN 4K! But that’s not all Ayan Mukerji talked about in the post. Addressing the backlash Brahmastra received for Ranbir Kapoor wearing shoes, while ringing the bell and entering the “temple”, the director noted, “We have had people in our community upset because of a plan in our trailer – the character of Ranbir wearing shoes as he rings a bell. As the creator of this film (and a devotee), I humbly wanted to address what happened here. In our film, Ranbir does not enter a temple, but a Durga Puja Pandal.

The director of the long-awaited multi-star added, “My own family has been hosting a similar kind of Durga Puja celebration for…75 years! One, which I have been a part of since childhood. In my experience, we don’t do that take off our shoes, just on the stage where the Goddess is, and not when you enter the Pandal.

Ayan Mukerji continued, “It is personally important to me to reach out to anyone who may have been upset by this image…because first and foremost, Brahmāstra is created as a cinematic experience that respects and celebrates culture, traditions and culture. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, Brahmastra stars Ranbir Kapoor as Shiva and Alia Bhatt as Isha. Besides them, the first movie of the planned trilogy also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, Nagarjuna Akkineni and many more. The film is set to hit theaters in September. 9, 2022, in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
