Veteran actress, Sharmila Tagore is ready to make her OTT debut with her upcoming film, GulmoharThe film is directed by Rahul Chittella, and stars the Bengali beauty along with Manoj Bajpayee, Amol Palekar and a few others. For the uninitiated, Sharmila was last seen in Bollywood film, Break Ke Baad in 2010. And that film would mark a break from her 11-year hiatus from acting. Recently, the actress opened up about her grandchildren’s reactions to watching her onscreen.

Sharmila Tagore is a doting grandmother to her five adorable grandchildren, Sara Ali Khan, Ibrahim Ali Khan, Taimur Ali Khan, Inaaya Naumi Kemmu and Jehangir Ali Khan and glimpses of the same are often seen in various unseen images that For example, on March 7, 2022, Sharmila’s eldest daughter, Saba Pataudi, took to her Instagram account and shared a memorable photo of her mother with her nephew, Jehangir. In the photo, a delighted Sharmila could be seen playing with her youngest grandchild, and it was simply a precious moment. Sharing the same, Saba wrote:

In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Sharmila Tagore spoke about her return to the big screen and the reaction of her grandchildren. Talking about her daughter, Soha Ali Khan, and her son-in-law, Kunal Kemmu’s daughter, Inaya Naumi Kemmu, she mentioned that the cute munchkin once congratulated her. She talked about her son, Saif Ali Khan and his second wife, the munchkins of Kareena Kapoor Khan, Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan. Mentioning that since watching TV is not allowed by children, she assumes that once they see it on screen, it would be different.

“Ohh, I already got a nice message from Inaaya congratulating me, of course prompted by her mother. I told her that the movie hasn’t been released yet, and we don’t know what the audience will say. Taimur and Jeh aren’t allowed to watch movies right now, but I guess it will be different when they see me on screen.”

Also, in the same conversation, Sharmila talked about his son, Saif Ali Khan and his ex-wife, the children of Amrita Singh, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan. She mentioned that since the older children have grown up, they have no other choice. but to watch his movie and say hello to him. Then, sharing the same, she added:

“Sara and Ibrahim have grown up, they are going to watch and they like it better. They have no choice but to say ‘well done’.”

Sara Ali Khan also shares a warm bond with her GrandmotherA few days ago, she took to her IG Stories and shared a collage of two throwback photos with her grandmother, Sharmila Tagore. In the collage, the first photo was from Sara’s childhood, where she could be seen donning a comfy cotton dress that she paired with two ponytails and looked super cute. She was sitting on Sharmila’s lap, who was hugging her from behind. And the next picture was from Sharmila’s 76th birthday party, where Sara was seen hugging her badi amma from behind, because they both looked super beautiful. In addition to the collage, Sara had written a beautiful caption, which could read as follows:

“From holding me to holding you. I love you Badi Amma.”
