Pregnant Ukrainian woman dies from maternity hospital

A bloody pregnant woman who was seen carried on a stretcher from a bombed Ukrainian maternity hospital subsequently died after her baby died.

A picture of an unidentified mother stroking her bloody belly was taken as rescue teams ran through the rubble of the blast on Wednesday in Mariupol.

According to surgeon Timur Marin, she was taken to a front-line hospital with her pelvis crushed and her hips removed.

When she realized she was about to lose her baby, she shouted, “Kill it now!” The surgeon remembered.

Still, he tried to give birth by Caesarean section, but the baby “had no signs of life,” Marin said. He then focused on her mother, who “resurrected her mother for more than 30 minutes with no results.” Marin said.

“Both are dead,” he confirmed.

According to officials, it was not immediately clear if the mother and child were among the three, including the girl. At least 17 people were injured in the attack, and many accused them of war crimes.

Another pregnant woman in a dramatic photo of her escape from a maternity hospital attack succeeded in giving birth to a healthy baby the next day.

Blogger Mariana Vishegirskaya hugged her newborn Veronika, talking about her account, wearing the same polka-dotted pajamas she had when she fled.

“We were lying in the ward when the glasses, frames, windows and walls were scattered,” said Vishegirskaya.

“We don’t know how that happened. We were in our ward, some had time to cover ourselves, others didn’t.”

According to Presidential Advisor Oleksiy Arestovych, all women have become a symbol of overwhelming suffering in Mariupol, killing at least 2,500 inhabitants.

Russia has repeatedly denied targeting civilians, even ridiculous attempts to suggest that injured pregnant women are highly structured crisis actors.

“Negotiations. Round 4. Peace, ceasefire, immediate withdrawal and security of troops. Fierce debate.” Ukrainian negotiator Mikairo Podryak said online.

However, he expressed his reservation, considering that Russia “still has the delusion that 19 days of violence against (Ukraine) peaceful cities is the right strategy.”
