Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa announced that Flip or Flop was coming to an end after 10 years. The HGTV show was ending with season 10 and the former couple would not be starring on the show that made them famous. Many wondered why the show was ending and were reminded of an alleged incident between Haack and El Moussa during the filming of the last season.
What happened between Tarek El Moussa and Christina Haack?
In July 2021, there was a report from TMZ which alleged that El Moussa verbally assaulted Haack during the filming of Flip or FlopEl Moussa reportedly “lost his cool and launched into a verbal tirade” against his ex-wife and even said his current partner was “hotter and richer” than her.
“Look at me, look at me, look at me. That’s called winning,” the source said, El Moussa said.
The insider also said the house flipper claimed to have “done” his ex-wife and called her a “stranded loser.”
After the incident, another insider said People that El Moussa was “remorseful” about what happened and after the story was leaked to the press.
“They had a falling out. Tarek went wild and he’s got a lot of remorse. They’re exes who share a history, kids and a workplace, but outside of co-parenting, they’re not friends.”
The former couple went on to film Season 10 which premiered at the end of 2021. Having El Moussa and Haack on screen again made some fans happy again as the stars have amazing on-screen chemistry. .

Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa Confirm ‘Flip or Flop’ Season Finale
Both Haack and El Moussa released statements on March 10 confirming that Flip or Flop ended after 10 seasons. Haack called the news “bittersweet” and said it was “the end of an era”.
“From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank each and every one of you who have watched the show over the years. I am beyond grateful for the support,” Haack posted on Instagram. “I also want to thank the amazing team who worked so hard to make this show possible.
El Moussa also reflected on his life during filming Flip or Flop for 10 years remembering all the things he went through.
“You’ve been with us through it all – you’ve watched me beat cancer, you’ve seen babies grow into the most amazing little humans, and everything in between, but I’m not going anywhere and I can promise you that you you’re gonna love what’s next!” El Moussa shared on Instagram.

Why does ‘Flip or Flop’ end?
Although El Moussa and Haack made it work on Flip or Flop for many seasons despite their divorce, they reportedly decided to end their working relationship. TMZ reported that the contracts for the two stars of the show are up and running and are being negotiated for season 11.
However, a source told the portal that “all parties involved just wanted to end the series on a high note.” The source cleared up speculation that the show was ending due to their previous reported altercation.
El Moussa recently married Heather Rae and Haack is engaged to her fiancé, Joshua Hall. The two stars are at different times in their lives and a new professional chapter is about to begin.
